The best kinds of growth can happen in workshops when people have the opportunity to not only learn, but experience what they are learning. It’s like logos and rhema. We need both the written Word of God and the experience of the Word through the Holy Spirit.
The same is true if we are going to grow into who God created us to be. Hearing a new concept or way of doing life doesn’t guarantee that we will learn it. We need a new experience. And, new experiences are created when we interact with one another and with God. We are much more likely to experience beneficial growth and change when we are interacting with one another in circles, and not sitting in rows facing a leader.
My workshops are highly interactive…including stories, videos, and coaching demonstrations. We build authentic and vulnerable relationships together as we explore our identity, purpose and desires of the heart. The beauty of these workshops is that long-term relationships are often formed which help participants to grow spiritually and personally for weeks after the workshop is over.
I offer two workshops that meet weekly for 8 to 9 weeks (1.5 hours each week). A condensed weekend version of each workshop is also available.
Discover Your God-Given Purpose
In this workshop, journey into who you are by discovering how you are wired , what makes you tick and the passions that energize you. Learn what roadblocks, fears and limiting beliefs are preventing you from being fully you and walking in your identity. Engage with God while growing in intimacy and perfecting the art of hearing His voice. Your final assignment is to write your purpose statements that explain “Who am I?” and “Why am I here?” You experience greater peace, joy, focus, direction and success knowing where God is calling you.
Questions for Jesus – Praying Through Your Desires
Discover how we can easily go to Jesus with our deepest desires and he will answer. Learning to pray our desires takes each of us on an intimate journey with Jesus. We hear his voice as we seek him in prayer. We learn how important it is to bypass our rationale brain and tap into our emotional side where our God-given desires lie. It’s here that God speaks to our heart. It’s here that beliefs and emotional memories lie that often keep us from God’s best for us. Questions for Jesus is a journey into loving affirmation and discovering how God meets our every need.
