Words of Life are God’s Promises

When you accept Christ, you are made completely new by your union with Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. You become a totally NEW creation and your old life passes away. You have access to all the promises of God. It’s truly exciting! Here are just a few promises:

Romans 8:1

I am forever free from condemnation.

Romans 8:17

I am a joint heir with Christ. I share in His inheritance from God.

Romans 12:3

I have all the faith I need.

Romans 15:7

I am worthy and accepted.

Romans 15:13

I have all the hope I need.

Many of us don’t experience God’s promises in our daily life. Walking in God’s power and love requires us to acknowledge, declare, and choose to believe as true what God says about us in Scripture.

Especially during life transitions, we can’t believe our feelings, what people around us say, or what see in the natural. God is so much bigger than we see or feel.

Hebrews 11:1 says “ What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.”

It’s our faith that connects us to all the promises of God. Faith is built on our hope and joyful expectation that God is fulfilling the promises in His Word and working on our behalf. We don’t deny the negative events in our life, but we choose to focus our hearts on an eternal reality: God’s truth.

*Words that Speak Life in Every Circumstance

Speaking the promises of God has power and can bring life to your circumstances. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). You can choose to speak truth from the Word to build your own faith.

Declaring God’s Word brings transformation to your life and will help you in the midst of any transition. Speak these words of life and promise daily.

When Life Surprises You and You Feel Unprepared

God richly supplies all my needs (Philippians 4:19)

I can do all things (even face the unexpected) through Christ who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13).

My Path Going Forward is Unclear

If I call to you, you will answer me and tell me great and hidden things that I have not known. (Jeremiah 33:3)

Like Elijah, I can hear God’s small still voice speaking to me (1Kings 19:11-13)

I am still before the Lord and wait patiently for him (Psalm 37:7)

I trust and delight in the Lord and he gives me the desires of my heart (Psalm 37:3-4)

I take your yoke upon me and learn from you, for you are gentle and humble in heart, and I will find rest for my soul (Matthew 11:29).

Does God Truly Care?

I am loved with an everlasting love, and with lovingkindness God has drawn me to Himself (Jeremiah 31:3)

I soak in God’s love and nothing whatsoever will ever separate me from His love (Romans 8:38).

God is on my side; therefore, I declare I cannot be discouraged or defeated (Romans 8:37, Psalm 91, Philippians 4:13)

Through Jesus, I am totally loved and worthy to receive all of God’s blessings (Colossians 1:12-14).

Experiencing Fear and Doubt

I am strong and courageous because the Lord is always with me. He never leaves me or forsakes me (Joshua 1:6; Deuteronomy 31:6)

I declare peace over the raging winds in my mind, emotions, body, and family. I say “peace, be still” to each area of these areas of my life (Mark 4:39).

I speak to every mountain of discouragement, stress, depression, and lack of provision, and cast it into the sea in Jesus’ name. (Mark 11:22-24)

I don’t have to worry about anything because my prayers are powerful and effective. I tell God what I need and thank him for all he has done. His peace guards my heart and mind as I live in Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7; James 5:16b)

Does God Cause Everything to Work Together for Good?

Yes, God does work everything together for my good in every circumstance I encounter. (Romans 8:28)

I consider it pure joy to face trials because I know that the testing of my faith produces perseverance. (James 1:2-3)

I know that God’s thoughts are not my thoughts, nor are His ways the same as my ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, God’s ways are higher and better than mine. (Isaiah 55: 8-9)

What Does My Future Hold?

I have a glorious future in Christ.

I am full of hope when I think about my future. God has plans for me. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

I know that goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. (Psalm 23:6)

God is at work within me to will and to work for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)
